I was reading the RMS blog today to get my BP news-fix for the week when I ran across this interesting morsel from the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
It seems to relate rather well to the situation Gen. McCrystal found himself in a while ago. It reads, in part:
Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense […] in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
— 888. ART. 88 Contempt Toward Officials, UCMJ.
